Due to rapid expansion, we are looking for full-time or part-time DOG HANDLERS to work in either Nassau County or Westchester/Putnam/southern CT.

To succeed in this field, you must have experience in training animals - preferably dogs. You should be completely reliable, an excellent driver with a clean driving license. You need to be responsible, independent and energetic.

The work is challenging, different, yet very rewarding. It involves a lot of driving, walking, kayaking and working at odd hours in all weathers. You need to be fit and strong enough to lift a 50 lb kayak onto the roof of a vehicle after kayaking for 30 minutes in a bay.

You will be delving into environmental studies on Canada goose behavior - a field in which there is too much opinion and too little intelligence; you will be in at the beginning of a growth industry.

You will also be spending much of your time with Border Collies, the world's most intelligent, athletic breed of dog. We will supply the trained dogs and the training in how to handle such talent. Dependent on location, the ability to house and exercise one or two dogs may be necessary.

You will be responsible for regular communication with our customers in your territory.

Remuneration will consist of a base salary of $30,000 with a future opportunity to increase your earnings through commissions on developing sales in your territory.
